Visit the University of North Carolina (UNC).
Relaxyt at the UNC Botanical Garden and Coker Arboretum.
Visit Franklin Street in downtown Chapel Hill and browse its many interesting shops. You can also get great food at these restaurants on Franklin:
Top of the Hill, West End Wine Bar, the Cellar, the Lantern.
Also, check out Glass Half Full, and Panzanella in Carrboro.
Go to Southern Village, eat at Town Hall Grill.
Shop at University Mall, including Southern Season, or The Shops at Fearrington Village.

Durham
For a hip dining experience, try City Beverage.
Visit American Tobacco, Brightleaf Square, or Ninth Street restaurant and shopping areas.
Great food is at any of these restaurants,

Shop or see a movie at Southpoint Mall.
Visit Duke University.
